Noted earlier was that mobile platforms need regular refreshing. One should be aware that there are more mobile devices in use today than desktop and laptop computers. These mobile devices come with two challenges. Firstly, the capital costs (either as a one-time fee or monthly cost) are $1000+, added to this is a monthly wireless fee of over $60 in Canada, which is the highest amongst the G7 nations. This will put the cost of a monthly mobile phone at over $100. These costs as earlier noted do not really draw down as the contract period comes to an end, as by then a new phone has been developed and the current phone needs to be replaced for any of a variety of reasons.
